Reopen dates for Rivers of America and the Disneyland® Railroad at Disneyland Park!

Finally! We have dates for the reopening of Rivers of America and the Disneyland® Railroad at Disneyland Park. These two parts of Disneyland were temporarily closed to make way for the Star Wars-themed land, but now we have some insight of when they will reopen, which is summer 2017 at Disneyland Park. This includes all attractions along the Rivers of America, including:

• “Fantasmic!”

• Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia

• Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island

• Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes

Upon reopening, Guests will notice that the north bank of the Rivers of America will feature a beautiful new waterfront. The new riverbank will also include an elevated trestle over which the Disneyland Railroad will travel.

The Muppets Take Magic Kingdom!

The Muppets are heading to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom starting this fall, and they’re bringing their menagerie to make a glorious debut on stage in their new show, “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History.”

The Muppets in the cast are your favorites and mine: Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo and James Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, and last but not least, the most patriotic Muppet of them all, Sam Eagle! The Muppets will gather outside The Hall of Presidents to present United States history in the most Muppet way possible, which I am sure will include a lot of hi jinx and hilarious reenactments.

The Muppets will cover Paul Revere’s midnight ride to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and add their own unique take of the founding of the United States.

Featuring an original song and plenty of wacky Muppets humor, “The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History” will make its debut in October 2016.

This is such exciting news! More Muppets presence in all of the parks, please! We can’t no for an answer!
